The only products we sell containing maltodextrin (in very small amounts) are those that contain vitamin K2. This is currently our Vitamin D3 & K2, and the Multivitamin.
Incidental ingredients are those that are contained in such small amount that we are not legally required to list them. Maltodextrin falls into this category.
When we originally designed our labels, we felt it was important as part of our commitment to transparency to disclose all ingredients, including those classed as incidental.
This has caused a lot of confusion and unnecessary concern when the amounts and context are not understood.
From our research, and from discussions with our manufacturer and also with scientists who are well versed on all current EFSA guidelines, the amount present is not anywhere near a level that should cause any concern.
For context, it is only present in minuscule amounts in the K2, which is in our Vitamin D3 product, and in even smaller amounts in the Multivitamin. Details on the MAXIMUM remaining amount in the final products are below:
Vitamin D3/K2:
Age 1-12 dosage, 1.4ml: 0.98mg Maltodextrin
Age 12-Adults dosage, 2.8: 2.8mg Maltodextrin
Multivitamin:
Age 1-3 dosage, 2.5ml: 0.5mg Maltodextrin
Age 4-8 dosage, 5ml: 1mg Maltodextrin
Age 9-12 dosage, 7.5ml: 1.5mg Maltodextrin
Age 13-Adults dosage, 10ml: 2mg Maltodextrin
